Editor’s Note: I debated for a while whether or not to post this, just because I feel like showing off your living space is one of the more intimate details you can share. But, I hope this helps other assistants in the future, so they can know what they can (and can’t!) afford on our “student lifestyle” salary.
The final hooks have been bought and my apartment is finally starting to feel like a home, after only about a thousand trips to Bricorama and finally installing my freebox. It only took 10 variously placed lavender sachets, two candles and three lavender-scented air freshener to get what I like to think of as the “penthouse scent” out of my 12m² apartment, which I’m seriously hoping had nothing to do with my late predecessor Giovanni.
Sure, it looks somewhat like a dorm room, and it’s about the right size to be one, but I can’t think of any dorm that has my view.
So, without further ado, bienvenue chez Anne, enfin.

Fun to see another French compact kitchen! Learning to love electric hot plates…Not yet. Waiting for the coup du foudre to happen…

Haha yes, I am trying to learn how to make everything on a stovetop! Definitely prevents microwave-only meals 🙂
